Jason Craig speaks with Inez Russell, Executive Director of Friends for Life in Waco, TX. Friends for Life helps the elderly and adults with disabilities live independently as long as possible, protects and cares for those unable to care for themselves, and brings generations together to enrich lives. Inez discusses the challenges the elderly face with nursing homes and living facilities and their mental and emotional struggles. She also expresses how Friends for Life staff, volunteers, and partners make every effort to ensure the community understands the impact of supporting those they serve. Inez founded the organization in 1989, and it all started with a visit to see her father in the hospital (friendsforlife.org).
