Jeanice Lee talks to Lisa Jacob, Coordinator of Hawai’i Literacy Kona which is part of the Hawai’i Literacy on Oahu. 1 in 6 adults in the U.S. reads at 6th grade level or below.  Jacob says they offer free 1 on 1 tutoring by community adults for anyone 18+ who struggle with reading and writing skills. She says they will help people who want to work on several things such as GED or high school equivalency, drivers’ licenses, etc. Volunteers across the island are needed.
