Peter Kaye speaks with Kelly Mumma of Her Song Capital District, a nonprofit organization serving survivors of human trafficking. Mumma shares how human trafficking is a one hundred- and fifty-billion-dollar industry and that New York State is fourth in the country for trafficking cases. She discusses how trafficking often starts and shares stories of women coming out of trafficking and living lives of purpose. Mumma feels that awareness and education are keys to stopping this despicable industry. She gives tips on red flags to look for in your child’s and your own social medial accounts and encourages not turning a blind eye.
