Peter Kaye speaks with Lee Eastbourne of the Jonnycake Center of Westerly about the faces of homelessness. Eastbourne reflects on the pandemic and takes some positive aspects from it as to how it helped the Center grow and help meet the growing needs of the community. He speaks to the importance of their food distribution service in and of itself but also as a first step into providing wrap around services for individuals and families in need. Eastbourne shares the moving story of a local family who due to outside circumstances found themselves unable to make ends meet and how the Jonnycake Center was able to step up and help.
