Jeanice Lee talks with Renee Devereux, Executive Director of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. Devereux talks about how they are the caretakers of 3 historic steam locomotives that were donated to the City of Portland back in 1958 by the railroads, then they were stored at Oaks Park for many years and starting in 1974 they were pulled out of the park for restoration. Today they are located at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center in Portland. They offer tours 4 days a week, train/excursion rides, exhibits, an opportunity to see the machine shop, and more. Volunteers are welcome. (orhf.org)
