Jeanice Lee speaks with Jernine McBride, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California Inland Empire Program. McBride describes how they provide essential services to families that have children that are ill, injured, or hospitalized at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital or other nearby hospitals. They offer a home away from home for families so they can focus on their child’s care. In addition to logging, they have laundry facilities, a stocked kitchen, a backyard, in-house activities, referrals to other organizations, and more. They are the largest chapter globally. People can volunteer, donate goods, or cook a meal for the house. (rmhcsc.org/inlandempire)
