Bob Dittman talked with Nora Spitznogle of Second Helpings in Indianapolis on what food insecurity is, and how they're helping those in need in Central Indiana. Linda Broadwater, their new CEO, was also a guest, and mentioned she's excited to be a part of this wonderful organization. Nora says much of their meal program has now come back in house as COVID restrictions have relaxed, ending their satellite kitchen program. She also says their food rescue program is still as strong as ever, even though many restaurants have now reopened. Second Helpings delivers that food to pantries and also for meals programs in Central Indiana. They have a culinary school, training chefs to enter the workforce, with not only cooking skills, but training in interview skills, writing resumes and financial skills to further a successful career.
