Ron Turner talks with Ted Roberts, Assistant Chief of Police of the Selmer Police Department. Roberts discusses public safety and the few differences between the approach of a small town police departments verses a larger city. Roberts compares the training and resource availability between the communities and says there is little difference other than source of funding. All officers have access to training. Roberts talks about practical ways to help keep the community safe and engaged in their neighborhood. Robert says, in today’s society many people don’t want to get involved, but suggests that citizens involvement and care will help reduce crime and draw the community closer together.
