Peter Kaye speaks with Josh Moore of the South Royalton Area Food Shelf about the ongoing issue of food insecurity and how they are addressing it locally. Moore shares what the demand looked like pre and post pandemic as well as positive aspects coming from COVID. He speaks to the fact that most of the community they serve are elderly and rely on the Food Shelf to supplement their often limited and fixed incomes. Moore proudly shares how the community has rallied around the Food Shelf and how the sense of community and comradery is key to their mission.
