Kindra Ponzio talks with Dan Dempsey, Exec Dir, Tehama Co Gleeners Food Bank. Dempsey shares the history of the gleeners as a group of women were allowed access by the farmers to pick up was was left in their crops, then being distributed to the community in need. He says they have grown dramatically since then and their food now also comes from USDA, and grocers in the area. Dempsey says they have a great group of volunteers that help distribute the food in many different locations on different days.
