Kindra Ponzio talks with Jeanne Gordon, Exec Dir, CASA Humboldt. Gordon talks about the importance of having an advocate for kids in foster care, becoming their voice in the court. She says their role is to talk with all of the people in the child's life, such as social workers, teacher, doctors, foster parents, birth parents and make an informed report to the judge as to the best interest of the child.
Gordon says the advocates build a lasting relationship with the children that many times is lifelong.
