Ron Turner talks with Mark Smidt, CEO at Hoerner YMCA about the teen programs available in Keokuk. Smidt says their goal is to keep the youth safe and engaged while they’re utilizing the teen center or athletic facilities. Programs and activities range from art projects to shooting hoops in the gym. He explains how they want to remain family focused and help give the kids something to do while encouraging families to take advantage of the many events they host throughout the year.
