Peter Kaye speaks with Sarah Cahill, director of education and Krystal Rose, director of collections at Mystic Seaport Museum about their roles at the museum and its impact on the community and the next generation. Cahill focuses on bringing alive American maritime history through fun, interactive programs both in the classroom and at the Museum. She speaks to the importance of making learning fun and gives examples of student impact. Rose gives a behind the scenes look at how the Museum acquires objects as well as all the research that goes into verifying their authenticity and creating exhibits for the public.
