8 Prayers to Remind You That You Are Loved

Every human being wants to be known and loved. Life is full of different seasons, and some are accompanied by an overwhelming sting of emptiness. Recently I relocated to a large new town where I knew nobody. I've had to learn to rely on the Lord to replace the spaces that community, family, and my church formerly filled. I’m so grateful to God that He has taught me how to overcome some of the feelings that have come from this season. Despite the tough moments this season has presented, it has offered me a greater sense of security. I have come to embrace a love that makes me whole like nothing else. If you’re in a season where it feels like love has run dry, here are eight prayers for you.

Father, help me to remember Your great love for me. Your love has no time limit, and I am so grateful. Thank You, Lord, for always being there for me when it sometimes feels like no one else is. God, please help me to accept the wholeness that only comes from Your love. Amen.

Long ago the Lord said to Israel: "I have loved you, My people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to Myself."

Lord, help me to always remember that I am loved, no matter what I am going through or how I may be feeling. Please help me never forget that You sent Your Son out of Your deep affection and love for me. Thank You, Jesus, for willingly laying down Your life for me. Amen.

Father, I can’t comprehend how much You love me. Your love goes with me into the deep dark places where I feel like I’m drowning in difficulty. Lord, thank You for loving me so much that You committed not to let me face life

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

Father, thank You for already loving and selecting me before You created the world. Knowing that I was on Your mind and You love me with everlasting love is an extravagant treasure. A treasure I can draw from again and again. Holy Spirit, help me to remember Your unending love when I need it the most. Amen.

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.

Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to earth as a living demonstration of Your love for me. I want to thank You even more for sending Him while we were still messed up broken sinners because it shows how vast Your love is. Thank You, Lord, for accepting me even when I stumble and fall short. God let Your love completely change my life in every area. Amen.

But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

God, thank You for not just calling me a friend, but for calling me Your child. It gives me such hope to know that You value me enough to take me in as Your own. When I feel ignored and unnoticed, please help me to remember who I am in You—a child of God. Amen.
