2021 K-LOVE Fan Awards Unforgettable Performances

For a first-time K-LOVE Fan Award nominee, it’s an honor simply to be nominated. However, when you’re also invited to perform on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage, it’s a whole other level of recognition. New acts We The Kingdom, Andrew Ripp, and CAIN were given this rare opportunity at the 2021 K-LOVE Fan Awards. The first-time nominees each turned in exciting performances of songs that have made them a household name over the course of the past year. Watch all three of their unforgettable performances below.

1. We The Kingdom, “Child of Love”

Nominated for both “Group/Duo of the Year” and “Breakout Single of the Year,” multigenerational family band We The Kingdom took to the Fan Awards stage for a rousing rendition of their current single, “Child of Love.” Barefoot and dressed in a fiery orange jumpsuit, female lead singer Franni Cash Cain wowed audience members with her energetic stage presence and hypnotic vocals. Meanwhile, the Cash brothers—Ed and Scott—jammed out on guitars with family friend Andrew Bergthold. And Martin, Franni’s brother, passionately kept the beat on drums. “Child of Love” is the collective’s third single to release from their full-length debut album, Holy Water.

2. Andrew Ripp, “Jericho”

Andrew Ripp made history earlier this year when he became the first purely independent Christian artist to achieve a No. 1 song. That song is the fearless “Jericho,” which he performed at the 2021 K-LOVE Fan Awards, transforming the soulful selection into a wall-shattering singalong. The chart-topping track earned Ripp his first Fan Awards nod for “Breakout Single of the Year” and can be found on the singer/songwriter’s fresh album, Evergreen. Listen for Ripp’s new song, “Rejoice”—the follow-up to “Jericho”—soon.

3. CAIN, “Rise Up (Lazarus)”

CAIN not only scored their first K-LOVE Fan Awards nomination, but the sibling group also walked away with their inaugural win when fans named “Rise Up (Lazarus)” the 2021 “Breakout Single of the Year.” The trio gave a tearful acceptance speech, encouraging those watching to never give up on their dreams. Taylor, Madison, and Logan Cain also treated fans to a live version of their multi-week No. 1 hit. In addition, they sang background vocals during tour mate Zach Williams’ performance of brand new song “Stand My Ground.”

Ticket packages for the 2022 K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend are now on sale. Next year’s event will take place May 27-29, 2022 in Nashville.
