New Song Feature Thank You Isn

Known for soaring anthems like “Look What You’ve Done” and “How Far,” Tasha Layton has built a career on power ballads that showcase the strength of her remarkable range. On her latest single, “Thank You Isn’t Enough,” however, the songstress proves her voice is just as capable of carrying an uptempo melody.

While Layton’s previous buoyant pop selections have remained deep cuts, “Thank You Isn’t Enough” introduces radio listeners to an entirely different side of the singer, whose warm personality is as fun and carefree as her new song. She enlists The Choir Room to help her radiate the pure joy felt throughout the track, as she reasons a simple “thank you” falls short when you consider everything the Lord has done for us.

“In 1 John 3, we read, ‘See what great love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God,’ and that is who we are. I know I am not who I used to be. He has lavished His love on me, and I feel freer than I ever thought I could be,” she says of the ultimate message behind the original recording. “I want to write songs that capture the joy in my life that I now experience, which I didn’t have before. I believe with all my heart that if God can do a crazy, powerful work in my life, He can do it for you, too.”

Layton’s incredible story is a testimony of God’s active pursuit of our hearts. Battling severe depression that led to a suicide attempt, the former Katy Perry backup vocalist traveled the world in search of hope, trying an array of beliefs and religions along the way. Eventually, she returned to her Christian roots and a genuine faith that places Jesus at the center of everything.

Boasting of the life-change she’s personally experienced, “Thank You Isn’t Enough” previews Layton’s forthcoming studio set, expected to release later this year. The project follows the chart-topping artist’s first-ever worship album, “Worship Through It (Live).”
