In biblical days, the disciples followed Jesus – and in most cases that following was immediate. Sadie Robertson says today, many us of follow lots of people on social media, but real relationships don’t always result. But they can and that can take quite a process.

In the video she shares how a bizarre Instagram message popped up two years late – and what that had to do with her relationship with her now husband, Christian Huff.

After explaining the complex way she got to know her husband-to-be, Robertson said she knows young people are searching for meaning in life.

In a poll she did on her Instagram account, she asked followers what they’re looking for in their life. The top 4 responses: love, happiness, peace and purposes. Robertson follows up at Passion 2020 by asking the question, “Where are you searching for that in?”

She also revealed a number of visits to college campuses where she asked students what they struggle with. The overall response was: perfectionism, mental illness, depression, anxiety, feelings of loneliness, body image issues, eating disorders. Robertson then ties in the incredible and often negative influence some social media can have a person’s confidence. She makes it clear searching for an uplift on a smartphone can take people to the wrong places.

In the video, Robertson makes it clear where and how love, happiness, peace and purpose can be found – and it starts in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Looking ahead, Passion 2021 is set for January 1st in Atlanta and New York. Registration is already open.
