The risk of getting has led to a recall of 85,000 hedge trimmers in the U.S.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says Chevron North America has recalled EGO Power+ Model ht2410 cordless brushless hedge trimmers that may cause a laceration hazard.
The items were sold in various Home Improvement and hardware stores across the country from 2017 to 2020. The stores include Ace Hardware and Home Depot.
Chevron North America is providing a free repair for the part with the possible problem.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled hedge trimmers and contact Chervon for a free repair.
