Jack Church talks with Christie Simons, Executive Director of Atlanta Angels in Atlanta, Georgia. Simons talks about how Atlanta Angels walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship. She said the core programs offered by Atlanta Angels are called Dare to Dream and Love Box.
Volunteers commit to a year of supporting a family and will be matched with a local foster family based on location and compatibility. By having consistency through the volunteers, children gain a greater sense of normalcy, relational permanency, and self-confidence.
