LOCAL Closer Look: CASA of Natrona County

Posted on Saturday, April 3, 2021 by Phil O'Bryan

Phil O'Bryan talks with Chandra Ortiz, Executive Director of CASA of Natrona County, about how volunteers are trained to advocate for kids who have been in abusive or neglected situations. CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates uses average citizens to build relations with children and report their home situation to court. Recommendations are made as to whether they should remain with their family or if other arrangements should be made. We also talk about annual fund raising opportunities as well.
