Brent Adams talks with Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma who discusses his unlikely route to Capitol Hill. The Texas native began as a Christian youth pastor and spent 13 years directing Falls Creek Baptist Youth Camp in Oklahoma. Despite his family having no political background, he felt a strong calling to enter politics. He successfully ran in 2009 for the U.S. House of Representatives and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2014. Senator Lankford discusses the importance of integrating faith and politics and explains his focus on serving people and addressing real-world problems rather than engaging in partisan political battles. He also discusses his efforts to address the scourge of human trafficking. (https://www.lankford.senate.gov/)
