Jeanice Lee spoke with Megan Evanson the Executive Associate with Edwards Center. Megan shares the history behind Edwards Center, mission behind the work they do, people they serve, and examples of different forms of disabilities. We learn about their 24 hour residential program that Edwards Center offers, day support services, and their employment program. Megan offers advise to people in the community considering hiring people with disabilities and how they work alongside the employer and the individual, how they train people with disabilities to work in the workplace and how to create skills and good habits, ongoing support they offer once people secure a job, partnerships in the community.
