Lexy Smith speaks with Maggie Thompson, Program Director for the CASA of Boise under the Family Advocates banner servicing Ada, Elmore, Boise, and Valley counties. Family Advocates has been serving children and families in the Treasure Valley for the past forty-five years. Thompson details what the CASAs, or the Court Appointed Special Advocates do and the training they need to stand up in court for these children. Thompson shares the differences between a CASAs, Guardian Ad-Litem, and social workers for foster children.
