Peter Kaye speaks with Mary Ann Hankins of Francis House, a care home for the terminally ill. Mary Ann joyfully speaks on a difficult topic as she shares stories of families being supported by their “extended family” at Francis House. She gives experienced guidance to starting the conversation with a loved one who recently has received a terminal diagnosis. Hankins emphasizes the importance of the Francis House being a home versus a medical facility and gives various examples of the warm, peaceful atmosphere that is experienced there. She shares her gratitude to the Syracuse community for their ongoing support of Francis House and its mission.
