Jeanice Lee talks to Neli Marin, Community Health Educator for rural populations, with the Office of Community Outreach & Engagement at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Marin says that Colorectal Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in WA state. Statically those of Black and African American decent do have a higher incidents and cause of death. She shares risks, symptoms, preventative measures, and encourages everyone to learn their family history and talk to their doctor about getting screened and encourages commiting to daily activities, drinking water, and choosing foods with fiber.
