LOCAL Closer Look: Friends of the Children Klamath Basin

Kindra Ponzio spoke to Ann Keyser regarding a mentoring program. The at risk kids are chosen by referral at the age of 5 or 6, placed with a mentor for the duration of their school years. Usually 12 years, long term commitment from the mentor, they have 100% success rate for graduation and many more positive outcomes, breaking cycle of poverty.
