LOCAL Closer Look: Habitat for Humanity of La Pine Sunriver

Posted on Sunday, August 1, 2021 by Jeanice Lee

Jeanice Lee talks with the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of La Pine Sunriver, Dwane Krumme. Dwane shares about how Habitat mobilizes local community volunteers and partners to help build affordable and sustainable homes for people in need and who qualify. Habitat does not give away free homes. The process is a lengthy process to qualify for a home however Habitat continues to  provide Financial Management and Homeowner classes for people to continue to keep their home for years to come. Habitat for Humanity of La Pine Sunriver also provides a Critical Home Repair program which will repair, replace, or build things within peoples home that may impact their health and safety, and who could not otherwise afford to do these repairs themselves.
