Felipe Aguilar talked with Ashley Phillips, Development Associate with Hill Country Youth Ranch (HCYR) in Ingram, TX. HCYR provides care and nurturing support to children in the foster care system. Phillips describes HCYR’s “Philosophy of Healing and Growth” approach to caring for the children and she also discusses in-house programs that help kids to overcome the trauma they have experienced and to develop life-skills they will need as they grow into adolescence and adulthood. Including: The Horse Program, Fine Arts programs, Vocational Education, and Christian Education.
