Liz Quarm, President of the Saginaw County Humane Society, was Sarah Shaver’s guest and she first talked about their mission of “no birth is the first step to no kill,” which centers their work on humane trap, neuter, release of community cats and their no-cost spay and neuter services for people who cannot afford to have their pets altered. Ms. Quarm and her board, Tisha Medearis, Casey Wentzel, Heidi Douglas, Dawn Holcomb, and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Moose Whitey, joined Sarah at her home in Freeland, as they don’t currently have a building and are housing the cats and dogs in foster homes.
