Jack Church talks with Loretta Geotis, Social Service worker with the Salvation Army serving Key West and the entire Florida Keys. Geotis said the Key West Salvation Army faces some unique challenges by not having a church and Salvation Army pastor based in the Keys due to high cost of living. However, she says the three Salvation Army re-sale stores scattered across the Keys help connect them with those in need. She also said the use of virtual tools has greatly increased their ability to address needs remotely without having to drive long distances.
