Becky Hansen talks with Dulce Ortiz, Executive Director of Mano a Mano Family Resource Center in Round Lake Park serving immigrants and their families in Lake and McHenry Counties. Ortiz describes the challenges immigrants face, and those challenges were greatly heightened due to the pandemic. Mano a Mano Family Resource Center provides legal assistance, education assistance for ESL and GED studies, as well as job and family assistance and more. Ortiz explains that the goal is to empower them to become full participants in their communities. (www.mamfrc.org)
