Peter Kaye with speaks with Becky Page of Mercer County Food Bank about food insecurity and the ways they are addressing it. Page shares that the Food Bank has seen a one hundred and seventeen percent increase in distributed food in the past year. She speaks to the impact that inflation as well as the ending of certain COVID era government assistance programs have had. Page outlines their Military Share program aimed at veterans in need and discusses how veterans often put others before themselves and find it difficult to accept assistance. She also focuses on the need for volunteers.
