Jack Church talks with Larry McDaniel, founder and Executive Director for the Old Savannah City Mission in Savannah, Georgia. McDaniel, while Pastor of The Sanctuary in Savannah, was inspired to establish the Mission after preaching on numerous occasions at the Los Angeles Mission in California. McDaniel says the ministry of The Mission became infectious, leading members of The Sanctuary to join in his vision of starting a Mission in Savannah, resulting in the establishment of the Old Savannah City Mission in 1997. Pastor McDaniel, with the support of his church members, developed a residential recovery program similar to the one at the Los Angeles Mission. They also provide 3 hot meals a day and up to 7 days of overnight housing for those in need.
