Kindra Ponzio talks with Ben Castro, Exec Director, My Place Shelter. Castro shares some of the stats on the homeless population and talks about this newly opened Women and Families Shelter. He says that they offer a lot of wrap around services to help the guests get back in to the community, jobs, financial and emotional counseling. Castro describes the shelter as a warm home feeling, not the typical shelter that doesn't want you to be too comfortable. His philosophy is quite different in wanted the women and families to feel safe.
