Peter Kaye speaks with Jeana Ganskop from the Penobscot Marine Museum about the rich maritime history of Searsport. Ganskop gives a history of the museum and provides a virtual tour of the over three-acre campus. She brings local history to life by sharing stories of sea captains, their crews and even their cats! Ganskop speaks to the close relation the museum has with Searsport Highschool as well as other school districts either bringing the students to the museum or bringing the museum inside the classroom. Ganskop shares her passion for history and her love for Searsport and encourages visits from residents, other Mainers and anyone with a love of history!
