Lexy Smith speaks Caleb Marshall of Rebuilding Together Seattle, located in Tukwila serving all of King County. Rebuilding Together started in 1976 in Midland, Texas and was originally a program called, “Christmas in April.” In 1989 the nonprofit came to Seattle and in early 2000 there was a rebrand to what it is today. Marshall shares how many who own homes can’t afford upkeep with even the most basic of repairs. Marshall explains the different types of housing projects they take on for free.
