Jeanice Lee talks to Maria-Elena Ochoa, Deputy Director of Against Abuse Inc. Against Abuse Inc. provides services to victims (women and men) of domestic and/or sexual violence in Pinal County. Ochoa describes the various services such as their 24/7 shelter for those escaping violence, transitional living, supervised visitation, legal advocacy, emotional support, and they have an Animal Safe Home Network as a safe place for victims’ pets. Ochoa says there are different forms of abuse such as financial, verbal, emotional, physical, animal and more.
