Jack Church talks with Christina Lee, Founder and President for Deaf Dogs Rock located in Salem, Virginia. Lee talks about starting Deaf Dogs Rock after encountering a deaf dog named Nitro. As she started looking into the number of deaf dogs needing homes around the country she was led to start Deaf Dogs Rock. The organization has a data base of over 100 deaf dogs needing homes from all across the United States and the number is growing. Lee said training the dogs and owners is thru sign language which takes a great deal of time and dedication. Lee says a persons level of commitment to learning with the dog is paramount in having a long term placement.
