Jeanice Lee talks to Executive Director Angelina Coe with Shelter From the Storm. Coe says they provide a safe haven for people that are experiencing domestic violence/intimate partner abuse. Coe says the first 72hrs of someone leaving an abusive relationship is the most dangerous. Coe shares how they will help people put together a safe plan to leave an abusive relationship. There are different forms of abuse and women 18-24yrs old are the highest risk. Help is available in English and Spanish for crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling and more 24hrs a day.
