Jack Church talks with Manny Hidalgo, Executive Director for Shepherd's Table in Silver Spring, Maryland. At its start, Shepherd’s Table has seen substantial growth since being founded over 40 years ago and now provides more than 130,000 meals without missing a single day. Hidalgo said the face of those needing food has changed in recent years with more families and children now coming for the daily meal service. In addition to helping fight food insecurity, Shepherd's Table also helps with housing and job training to help put people on a path to keep them off the streets.
