Ron Turner talks with Anthony Savine, Director of Advancement at Urban Youth Impact. Savine discusses how inner-city children are challenged to succeed due to a lack of resources available to them and mentorship. Savine talks about the importance of literacy and their after-school programs that help kids K through twelve learn the basic skills necessary for the child’s success. Savine says that teaching kids’ life skills, leadership, literacy and Christian principles, urban/inner city kids are more likely to grow to be a more productive contribution to their future generations and solid role models.
