Peter Kaye speaks with Shannon Bates of White Horse Recovery Center about the uptick in substance abuse and the various programs and resources available. Bates walks us through her own recovery journey and how shared experience is a crucial part of helping others in their own journeys. She gives parents sound advice on what possible red flags to be aware of with their children. Bates emphasizes that while there is no right or wrong way to initiate a conversation with a loved one battling addiction, the importance of having that conversation cannot be stressed enough.
