A God-arranged Uber ride

"God's ways of connecting resources are awesome!"

I (Stan) was recently in the Dallas-Fort Worth airport trying unsuccessfully to connect with Uber for a ride to the NRB convention in Grapevine, just ten minutes away. When a driver stopped and offered a ride, I put my suitcase in the trunk and climbed in. How much would the ride cost? Forty-five dollars! Way too much, I protested, pulled my suitcase out, thanked the driver, and started over again.

I finally connected with an Uber that took me for much less. The driver was a Christian from Pakistan (face blurred to protect identity). When I told him about GNA he excitedly told me that this was a "divine appointment"!  His brother in Pakistan is a journalist who reports on persecution cases.

The next day I received a WhatsApp message from the driver’s brother offering to help us “raise the voices of persecuted Christians in Pakistan and draw attention to the recent cases I am working on. By bringing these issues to light, we can foster greater awareness among the public and relevant authorities.”

Who could imagine that refusing one taxi at the airport would lead to a new source for news reports about suffering believers.  God's ways of connecting resources are awesome!
