Passages Israel - The Blessing

Passages and StandWithUs have released a new rendition of the popular anthem, “The Blessing” to raise awareness about the rise of antisemitism around the world. This rendition features a beautiful collaboration between talented Christian and Jewish performers and students from Israel, the U.S., Ethiopia, South Africa, and Nigeria who have all come together to celebrate the inspiring words of Numbers 6:24-26:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

In recent years, antisemitism has reached new highs in the US and around the world. Both Passages and StandWithUs, a U.S.-based Israel education non-profit that challenges misinformation and opposes anti-Semitism, are committed to fighting antisemitism in all its forms. This new rendition of the blessing is an opportunity to do just that.

The Blessing Project united several of the world’s leading musical artists, including Ricky Skaggs, Dudu Aharon, Eden Meiri, Avraham Tal, Narkis, Rahel Getu, Mynah Rams, Jacky Clark-Chisholm, and Gali Atari. Each of these incredibly talented and renowned singers have come together to celebrate their shared heritage and take a stand against the rise of antisemitism in the world today.

“I believe that music has the power to transcend the boundaries of our cultures and speak to the hearts of each and every person who hears it,” said Scott Phillips, Executive Director of Passages. “This is why I am proud for Passages to partner with StandWithUs and support these talented international artists and students for The Blessing Project. Our prayer at Passages is that this project can strengthen the ties between Christians and Jews, and promote a deeper understanding of both Biblical and modern Israel.”

“StandWithUs is honored to be part of this important project with Passages. At a time where anti-Semitism and hate are plaguing the world, we are grateful to our Christian brothers and sisters at Passages who stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and the State of Israel, as communicated in this video,” said Roz Rothstein, founder and CEO of StandWithUs. “This musical project continues to build a unique bridge between our communities, and we look forward to seeing how its message inspires and empowers people around the world.”
