Union Gospel Mission Sioux Falls is proud to announce the highly anticipated opening of the NEW Family Center, set to open in December of 2023. This transformative project will be housed within the Main Office facility, located downtown on East 8th Street, to provide a safe and nurturing environment for mothers and their children.
The Family Center will serve mothers with children ages 12 and up, with the intent to keep families together in a secure and empowering environment.
“Promoting youth empowerment in the community through the New Family Center and other programs like the recently announced East River Youth Advisory Board to support homeless youth, is vital to the individuals we serve and allows the mission to offer community resources for years to come,” said UGM YAB Coordinator Katana Thompson.
This project will provide comprehensive support in a comfortable environment, serving up to ten families in need. The estimated construction cost for each room is approximately $16,000.

We are calling upon individuals, businesses, and organizations to contribute through volunteering and donations.
