In a time where many of us are sheltering at home, now is the perfect time to pray. With so many churches having to temporarily close their doors, many are wondering how to connect.
Times Square Church in New York City has been having weekly prayer meetings every Tuesday since 2015. People from more than 200 countries gather online to share their hurt, pain, fear and victories while pastors and congregants pray in real time.

Pastor Carter Conlon, lead pastor at Times Square Church, says, "God knew this was coming and we need to cry out to Him because He hears and He wants to answer our prayer. The Bible makes this clear in 2 Chronicles 7:14: 'If my people who are called by My name would humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal the land.'"
Since the Worldwide Prayer Meeting began, there have been hundreds of thousands of prayer requests and answers to prayer. As the pandemic has created anxiety around the world, the online meeting has seen a surge of people online who are seeking answers.
