In an inspiring display of solidarity, Special Enforcement and SWAT Teams from surrounding areas rallied together to support a Placer County (Cal.) sheriff’s deputy and his young son, who is fighting cancer.
In just one day, the teams raised an impressive $5,000, which was presented directly to the Forneris family. “It’s our hope that this brings some relief to your family – whether it’s for an hour, a day, or a week. This check is just the beginning. We’re here for you, and we’re in this together.”
In addition to the monetary donation, the non-profit "CATO Cares" run by California Association of Tactical Officers - CATO, an organization that supports first responders and their families during difficult times, was on hand to present young Louis with a special gift. Louis received his very own plate carrier, a symbol of both physical protection and spiritual strength, to accompany him on his courageous journey. The plate carrier is a tribute to his resilience and warrior spirit. To the Forneris family, all of us here at your Placer County Sheriff’s Office family stand with you. Our thoughts, support, and strength are with you every step of the way. - Placer County Sheriff's Office on X
