Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes are forecast across parts of the South.
On Friday, the impact will occur from eastern Oklahoma and Texas to western Arkansas and western Louisiana. By Friday night, the storms move into parts of Mississippi and Tennessee.
For Saturday, storms track east into Alabama, Tennessee, the Florida Panhandle and into parts of Georgia. Storms may continue into the Carolinas on Saturday evening.
A major multi-hazard storm is forecast to impact the Plains and Midwest on Friday, shifting to the East Coast by early Sunday. Heavy rain and flooding are possible this weekend from the Plains to the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys. Snow and ice could lead to dangerous travel from the Plains to New England.
