For many orphaned children and those who have suffered trauma and loss, music therapy can bring about great changes in behavior, a sense of self-worth and self confidence. With trauma-informed teachers who are professional musicians, children can learn to deal with the trauma, cope more successfully with their life in the foster care system, and benefit from the positive mentoring they receive. Dan Beck talks with a board member about the work of the All the Kids Need Music program in the Children First Leadership Academy school for homeless children and where they are expanding to online and beyond the school setting.
