As part of K-LOVE’s “One and Done Christmas Spectacular,” Carlos & Amy sat down with special guest Natalie Grant to talk about all things Christmas.
Grant’s guest appearance comes hot on the heels of her first holiday album in a decade, appropriately titled “Christmas.” The 10-track offering contains eight covers and two originals — an intentional choice in an effort to create a body of work that feels timeless.
“There’s records for us that, when we turn it on, we know it’s Christmas,” says Grant through a warm smile. “In a streaming world where everyone has their playlists, I wanted to create something where somebody could turn on song one and let it roll until song ten and go, ‘Okay, that was a Christmas experience.’”
Throughout this heartfelt interview, Grant shares cherished family traditions and how they’re evolving this year after sending her first two daughters, twins Gracie and Bella, off to college this fall. The “God’s Gift To Us” singer also recounts her favorite childhood memory surrounding Christmas and her birthday, which falls on Dec. 21.
